I found out recently that Voldemort is actually french and means flight from death, which makes sense as the character spends much effort trying to escape death. I don't think I have a proper point to make here, I just find it interesting that Voldemort has meaning in both languages but that they're so different.

Momomomomo:I noticed the name Voldemort could be broken into vol' de mort', poetically phrase but correct esperanto meaning want of death, this doesn't make much sense to me, does it mean that which death wants or a wanting for death. Of course it isn't meant to mean anything in EO I'm just curious as to the proper way of interpreting it.I'd read it as your "want of death" or "will to die". I wouldn't think of it as death's own want, as that doesn't seem to make much sense.
On a related theme, I heard a joke recently: Why did Harry Potter's parents die? Because of the vol' de mort'
