Wave Collaborative Conlang Building
Purpose: This wave is intended to start an experiment into collaborative conlang building.
Anyone interested in conlangs or just curious can join this wave and collaborate and is free to invite more people.
Just be aware that this is going to be a collaborative moderated wave, to keep it useful. Please check this wave for rules: Moderating Your Waves
If this wave becomes succesful and we start to build a new conlang from here, we are going to split this in different waves to keep it lightweight.

Google Wave is meant to be Google's revolution of Instant Messaging, Email and the collaborative working environment and is in limited beta (e.g. you get invited if you want to use it, not as simple as just registering).
You basically have to watch the videos to get a feel for how it works coz it just sounds plain strange otherwise, but imagine MSN in real time (e.g. what you type shows up as you type it for the other person) with the ability to edit parts of the "wave" (with rewind for late joiners/later review), the ability to drag docs onto this wave etc. As a good friend of mine said, it'll be excellent but only if everyone uses it.
@The general conversation: I think the reason this'd be good for conlanging is that it'd allow people to make and edit a language while using it at the same time, kinda like a live constant development feed (of course this'd work better with software programming no doubt but still interesting). The biggest problem would be pronunciation - I'm imagining that a community auxlang would likely be mostly latin based, which is easy to read for many just hard to get a neutral pronunciation. Clearly the reason why Hawaiian should become the world language
@Talisman: just curious are you on this project or have wave or is this just something you found out of interest?

People who like this sort of film might also like Split Image (1982, dir. Ted Kotcheff), starring Michael O'Keefe and Karen Allen, about a high school student who gets sucked into a religious cult and whose parents have him kidnapped and de-programmed out of it, and So proudly we hail (1990, dir. Lionel Chetwynd), starring Edward Herrmann and David Soul, about three youngsters and a college professor who get mixed up with a neo-Nazi movement.

erinja:Am I the only one that finds this "Wave" name creepy? Am I the only one who watched the cheesy 80's movie "The Wave" when I was in school? It's an educational film about how totalitarianism starts, allegedly based on a true story, but I have severe doubts about that. Meant to be a hard-hitting drama with a Message, but frequently unintentionally funny.Actually the name "Wave" comes from this short lived sci fi tv show by Joss Wheden called "Firefly"... in that show "wave" was colloquial for messaging/chatting/videophoning people
