Hauxkins:Other than that, what I'm quoted as saying is reasonably close to what I actually said, so I'll chalk that up as a win. That's a definite win. The tone of the article is also rather positive.
Last time I was quoted for an Esperanto thing they got it completely wrong, and the article itself was less than flattering. Part of the headline was "Talking to themselves". The text is unfortunately not available online, but one gem from the article was "The gaggle of Esperanto enthusiasts quickly headed off to a youth hostel in Boston where they cooked a dinner of tofu stir-fry and Coca Cola and did their best not to speak English. "Parolu pli malmultirapido," a few kept saying, beseeching Higley and other more advanced Esperanto speakers to slow down."
...which I felt was a complete mischaracterization of the atmosphere of an Esperanto event (let alone that they got the grammar wrong on the Esperanto phrase, not that I find this surprising).

"Esperanto is a language with building parts like a rack of Ikea"...
"Esperanto is like a silvester rocket with a wet match cord: Until today not fired(ekbruligis/ekflugis)" Hhm, but generally this report was quite positive.

qwertz:"Esperanto is a language with building parts like a rack of Ikea"...Ikea is very popular; surely Esperanto must also be quite popular if it resembles Ikea products so closely?

Rogir:And once again an English-language medium ignoring our beloved hats as if they aren't there. Would they do the same with French. Anyway, nice article. It's a newspaper article, not a bloody comprehensive guide to learning Esperanto

Although, the thought of green meatballs does sound a bit yuck.
