Last time I was quoted for an Esperanto thing they got it completely wrong, and the article itself was less than flattering. Part of the headline was "Talking to themselves". The text is unfortunately not available online, but one gem from the article was "The gaggle of Esperanto enthusiasts quickly headed off to a youth hostel in Boston where they cooked a dinner of tofu stir-fry and Coca Cola and did their best not to speak English. "Parolu pli malmultirapido," a few kept saying, beseeching Higley and other more advanced Esperanto speakers to slow down."
...which I felt was a complete mischaracterization of the atmosphere of an Esperanto event (let alone that they got the grammar wrong on the Esperanto phrase, not that I find this surprising).

"Esperanto is like a silvester rocket with a wet match cord: Until today not fired(ekbruligis/ekflugis)" Hhm, but generally this report was quite positive.

Plus, Anglo-Celts have been in contact with the French for much longer than Esperanto has even existed, and even then only some keyboards have French diacritics (e.g. Mac ones), let alone Esperanto's own hatted-letters, and many newspaper journalists use special software to write their articles, so the poor journalist probably couldn't even write them in if he wanted to. ceigered (Xem thông tin cá nhân) 07:10:10 Ngày 08 tháng 2 năm 2010
