I'm sure, sometime in the 50's and 60's there must have been at least one beatnik/bohemian that found the beauty of Esperanto and translated "I can dig it", at least I hope so. I say it quite often and would love to learn the Esperanto equivalent.
The other one, "Cool". Not in temperature, but as in "Cool, Cool man, That's Cool, etc".
Anybody got any ideas?

gyrus:For "I can dig it" I'd probably say "Mi komprenas".If this is what "I can dig it" means (1a difino), Gyrus' translation makes sense.
You can use mojosa, although a lot of people don't like it.
But how to make it sound just as chilled as "I dig it"? Mmm.. Maybe something with a loose definition like "ja komprene" (which as an interjection loosely translates to "rather understanding/able"*, but sounds a lot looser and free in meaning).
So in a conversation you could have:
Generalo: "Do, cxu vi komprenas la situacio"?
Beatnik-a rekruto: "Jaaaaa, komprene."
Generalo: "HO! NE RESPEKTA, MI VIDIS!" *starts poking recruit with a cane*

Just to clear up my botch-up of a translation of "ja, komprene":
- "understandable" - komprenebla (possible to understand), kompreninda (worthy of understanding)
- "understanding" - komprena (understand-ish), komprenanta (currently in the process of understanding something), komprenema (inclined to understand (others))
Don't confuse these with "komprena/e", there's a bit of difference in the nuance.

I really try not to "translate" word for word in my head, I want the meaning to come across. I could have just used Mi komprenas, but there was nothing to distinguish that from just "I understand". There is that undefinable quality that you understood nicely. Thank you.

Greyshades:Hm...Maybe even "Gxi mojosas min!"? (I'm assuming we're talking about another definition now, like "I dig your shoes dude!"?) Or would that be misunderstood as "Gxi mojosigas min" (which sounds more like "It makes me complete")?
I can dig it. = Ĝi mojosas al mi.
Yeah, I know that's not very correct, but you'll probably get the same response from anyone other than your close friends:

Oŝo-Jabe:For cool there is "mojosa" (among other solutions like "malaĉa" and "beluma.")Another alternative is 'bonuma', which, if I recall correctly, is the word several experienced E-ists on this site swear by.
@Christian: 'Ja, komprene' does seem to have a nice ring to it.
