I think it would be good to have a thread like this one where we can discuss English idioms and possible Esperanto equivalents or translations. The one thing I don't want to happen is that we translate word for word. We should find equivalents that sound very Esperanto but not equivalents that are so pathetic that we make another Gavaro because that would hardly be understandable for our esteemed colleagues from other countries.

Literally it means "I whistle about that", but figuratively it means that you don't care at all, that something just doesn't matter at all to you. It's somewhat akin to blowing something off.

I can't be bothered = Ich habe keine Lust
.
I would translate this as:
Mi ne volas.
or:
Mi ne sentas iun (ajn) emon.

Mi NE prifajfas would mean that you ARE bothered, because you are not blowing it off!

dukemasuya:I was wondering if anyone has come up with an Esperanto way of saying "I can't be bothered". I had discussed this expression with a friend of mine and the only conclusion we came to was "Nezorginde" or "Neklopodinde" but these don't sound very good to me.For some reason, I don't find your solutions that bad at all. Several times, the "I" part of the English sentence is somewhat quickly gone over or simply skipped, so unpersonal versions like these two you suggested would carry this extra little bit of strength towards denying any interest over the treated matter.
Other ideas to avoid saying the same thing every time:
• Emo mankas! (aŭ Tempo mankas!)
• Malinterese!
• Aliaj (aŭ Pli gravaj) aferoj zorgigas min.
• Mi ne povas interesiĝi.
• ...and everything else previously proposed above by others.
