How would one discuss swing dancing in Esperanto? Would they call it "svingo" or something like that, or is there a separate phrase?

For example, how would you say "I am learning American swing." or "East Coast swing is different from West Coast swing."?

I think this is right, I may be wrong though. Perhaps someone else has a better translation.

I am learning American swing.
Mi lernas la Amerikon svingodancon.

East Coast swing is different from West Coast swing.
La svingodanco de la orienta marbordo malkiel la svingodanco de la okcidenta marbordo.

Svingodanco, or even Swing-danco should work, as there doesn't seem to be any true translation of it into any language on Wikipedia (E.g. Norwegian "Swingdans", German "Swing (Tanz)", French "Swing (Danse)").

The lack of translation seems to be a cultural thing given that Swing seems like part of American culture, and given English's status as the global lingua franca for this century (I'm betting on form of Chinese/Japanese for the 22nd, and I'll be renting an android body to see it rido.gif), there doesn't seem to be much concern internationally to translate it, so "Svingo" should just fit in fine.

"Ameriko" means all of the Americas, north and south.

This should be "Mi lernas usonan svingodancon"
(Usono = the USA, but use it in adjective form since it describes the noun 'svingodanco', and in Esperanto, a noun can't describe a noun.
East Coast swing is different from West Coast swing.
La svingodanco de la orienta marbordo malkiel la svingodanco de la okcidenta marbordo.
You're missing a verb here! You need to work in "estas" somewhere in there.
