What happened to the many threads which Lynchie created?
Did there happen something evil? I think he couldn't himself delete his account and threads.
I'm just curious.

It appears that he/she was banned for some reason I don't know so far...

Unbelievable shoko.gif

Threads that Lynchie didn't start, but just contributed to are still there, although his comments are now unattributed (i.e., no name, no icon, just blanks).

He seemed really motivated. Dunno what happened.

Aslan (Kwerekana umwidondoro) 5 Nyandagaro 2010 19:18:27

I can't imagine why, he seemed very nice. I exchanged about a dozen messages with him helping him with basic grammar etc.

His threads actually still exist, but they don't appear on the forums. If you search on google for "lynchie lernu" you can still access them.

Sounds like he got erased...

Very strange, he seems to have just disappeared together with his profile. Perhaps a teamano could enlighten us?

Having had a modest degree of exchange with him myself, I wouldn't mind knowing a bit more about what happened to him, too.

I wonder if the Lernu team will explain? Very weird...

He probably deleted his own account. If a user deletes their account, this is what happens. Sometimes people delete their accounts because they want to change their username; therefore they delete their old account and create a new account. You can't have two accounts on one e-mail address, so if someone doesn't want to use a new address, they tend to delete the old account. Or it could be that he suddenly lost interest. I expect we'll know soon enough.

There is a small possibility that someone else on the lernu team closed his account, but there hasn't been a single peep about him from anyone on the lernu team, so this possibility is highly unlikely. The only time when an account gets deleted is violation of terms of service (normally a user is warned several times and reminded of hte rules) or spamming lernu users (this merits an automatic account deletion; I deleted two users for spamming just the other day but neither was Lynchie)

FYI on spamming, no, you don't get deleted for sending many people a message asking to correspond with them. You do get deleted if you send a mass message with text like "I'm a pretty girl and I want to marry you baby, e-mail me at prettygirlbabe@yahoo.com". People sending messages, even a lot of messages, for legitimate "Esperanto" purposes do not get deleted.
