I'm a steampunk fan also. I love Abney Park and similar groups.

Is there any musical (Esperanto) musical group that has a steampunk type feel? Most of the Esperanto music that I've heard has been more or less folk tune type stuff--not a particular favorite genre of mine.

I've been looking for a long time for an Esperanto group that is more steampunk-y, or Peter Gabriel-y. If there's something like that on Vinilkosmo, I haven't found it. Any help? Thanks.

I haven't heard any Esperanto music that I'd characterize as steampunky but it definitely goes far beyond folk music. I certainly wouldn't characterize anything at all made by Dolcxamar as being folk, for example.

I LOVE steampunk. I have a costume and hope to make more, and I wear it to school like any other outfit.

You know, Eo and steampunk really do go together nicely. A little offbeat, familiar but foreign at the same time, a habit of attracting eccentrics.

I love it. ridulo.gif

I wish I lived in Phoenix right now. XD I may have my beef with how Arizona's being run at the moment, but I can forgive almost anything for the chance to have tea with you guys. Please come to Seattle sometime!

KetchupSoldier, you're not ever so far away from Vancouver (not so far in the grand scheme of things, anyway).

Arono and Karlina from Radio Verda live in Vancouver. You should head up there and meet up with them sometime. They're not steampunk but they're very friendly and super fun.

That sounds like a lot of fun! I love Vancouver, and you're right, it's really only a few hours drive away from here.
