Pan-European IdentityGood one. Though I think Esperanto should aspire more highly than that. Not just a European common tongue, but IAL.

To consider whether a national group can have a common identity without a common language, you would have to look at countries like Switzerland and Belgium.
I vague remember seeing articles about tensions in Belgium, suggesting that the sense of common identity is weak.
For a true common identity you have to have a strong sense of shared culture. This is obviously more difficult if you don't speak the same language.

In my opinion the lyrics are somewhat confusing means its somewhat "flat in content". Or is it fine to English natives?

Also there excist a German project "Rapucation.de" in Berlin whose members try to educate via rap music. It's a serious project, which gets some attention of the press due to their community work at public schools. They also have a German song called Capitals of Europe.
