philodice, you might also benefit from texts written with the Ilja Frank method, which includes a word for word translation of each sentence. It's another non-grammar-focused way to study. Lernu has two of those texts in its library, here

Lernu has two of those texts in its library, hereHhm. Thanks for that. I like that switching between my native language (or English) and E-o. Most teacher "propagate" to switch off your native language during learning of foreign languages. Especially these ones who use the Rekta Metodo (i.e. like Stano Marček). But for me that switching between languages makes the topic interesting. In result, at the first look I like that Ilja Frank method, too.
