erinja:Is a debate over Esperanto keyboards really worth being rude to one another over? Obviously different people have different preferences. Here's a thought - how about if everyone acts according to their own preference on their own computers, and stops trashing other people's decisions?+1

Yes it's worth it because that guide is misinformation and he refuses to accept being wrong. And misleads other users.

To be honest, in the scheme of things it's really not that bigger deal, the original poster's already said cheers and now everyone who reads this from now on will see two sides to the argument and can now chose based on what they decide is good for them (thus my playing as the devil's advocate earlier).
