ceigered:Anyone got a link to this "Jen" song? I'm interested myself.
Are you referring to the song by Alejandro Cossavella, with two different renditions on YouTube?
I honestly don't know...

Just referring to the song mentioned at the very start of the thread... perhaps...

But that is a cool song. The vid with the Porkoj's redition is a bit of a killjoy for me though since it feels like a video for primary school students with the pictures rido.gif. But I like that rendition a lot more.

The Jen Video of Porkoj mentioned above is the same also can be found inside the Kurso de Esperanto > Leciono 02 > tab 4.

Maybe the Linux version of Kurso de Esperanto also runs with some modifications at MacOSX. (Often the X marks some kind of UNIX family relationship).

Nasty photo's in their gallery.
Looks like it's going to be a mess with the insurance companies though - since they reckon it was a band using the facility who left things plugged in (which caused the fire), how would they handle that? Could they be liable?

Sucks regardless of "whodunnit" (yeah I'm using that phrase outa context)

I met Flo (Vinilkosmo) during last JEFO-FESTO. (You can see the stage construction and mixing desk under the tent at this video; 02:30min). Seeing burning its music equipment he bought recently and all that other stuff - that must be pure horror. But he is a very optimistic people. And French's evertime will find a solution. They don't stick to allocating of responsibilties to everybody. They simple are very keen of finding a instant ad hoc solution. (I noticed that culture clash again during that event). okulumo.gif

Ĝeneraly, there's much of work involved to get an music concert running. Especially organizing transport, assembling and disassembling of the stage construction.

Ah, nasty! I didn't realise some of it was new!

Is that the only studio they have by the way? It'd be horrible if they'd worked through the years to get all that only for it to burn up in their faces malgajo.gif

"All the best to them", what's that in Esperanto? "Ĉiuj bonaĵoj al ili"/"Ĉio kiu estas bona, al ili"?

Flo is a single person. There only excist 1 or 2(?) other technicans. Vinilkosmo is not a big company. And yes, that equipment is critical existential. I don't know Vinilkosmo's business model in detail. But, pooh. 20 years Vinilkosmo and now that happens. F##'.

Interview(2006) with Flo.

Maybe ĉion bonan al ili.

Interview(2006) with Flo.

Apart that, its quite interesting what non-Esperantists Triboulet says in French at 01:03 min: "... Flo sin proponi konstui studion en sia laborejo ... mi amegas tion ĉar tre varias estas ĉiuj stiloj, sed la lingvo malfacilas por sonmastrigo, mi kreskas(?; Why kreskas?; What is the original French word).."

Triboulet: "...Flo did construct that studio in his workbench-room ... I love that, because of the fact, that the music style change quite often and that the (Esperanto) language is difficult to manage for sound mastering, I believe(?)..."

Hhm. Remembers me to razlem's hint at phonaesthetics

erinja (Pokaż profil) 25 września 2011, 13:30:59

I think this has little to do with razlem, and a lot to do with sudanglo!

To me it is evident that Flo is talking about the lack of Esperanto vocabulary to describe sound engineering, so his knowledge of Esperanto is growing (kreskas) due to his use of Esperanto to talk about technical topics.

[hence why I cite Sudanglo, who has mentioned several times the need to develop precise technical vocabulary in Esperanto]

Ah, okay, now I got it. Thanks erinja to clarify that. rideto.gif
