Happy New Year everyone! In 2011 I am going to blog about languages: six languages to be exact. Each month between January and June I shall examine a different language; its history, grammar, syntax, as well as the culture and usage of the language by those who speak it.

Then in June I shall be picking one of the languages I like the best, and spending the rest of the year learning it, discussing it and exploring it. Please join me on this language adventure at http://6languages.owenfish.com

No RSS feed? Google Reader can't find one at that URL.

Do Esperanto first. Spend the month learning it, because that's all a beginning grasp of the language needs, and it will make all the other languages easier.
Learning about EO and learning EO are hand in hand. You will learn more about the speakers if you become a speaker yourself.

It is proven that learning Esperanto helps you learn another language more easily. So, I would suggest that your goal be to learn Esperanto + another language.

(Edit: I see you already know 4-5 languages. Good for you.)

He's had a false start! lango.gif

RE the blog,
Albanian I look forward to. Interesting language, almost has the same sound set as English (almost) according to Wikipedia, yet employs nasals sometimes like African languages...

And who could dislike a language that calls birds "zog" (zogg) and "zogj" (zodge) in singular and plural respectively? rideto.gif
