TheEsperantoTom:I learn German in school and I can look up popular English songs and there is at least one person who does a cover auf Deutsch. Do covers exist for the Esperanto community? If not, why not? It could be a great way to attract people. I'm hoping there are some Esperanto covers.I don't really like the idea of translating songs from other languages into Esperanto. Simply because Esperanto has its own songs. We don't need to borrow music from some other language or culture. We are strong enough to make up our own music. And our music is good enough to attract people, as it shows, that the Esperanto community does have that power and creativity.
YMMV

According to William Auld, Esperanto was greater than the Mona Lisa or the nine symphonies of Beethoven because, unlike these, the language published by the Polish doctor Ludoviko Zamenhof in 1887 could itself be used to create other works of art.
