I can't understand your esperanto sentence, so it is not right. Maybe this should do:

Por/dum preskaŭ unu jaro ili estis feliĉaj, sed tiuj ĉi sezonoj tro diversis kaj ili ne povis longe resti kiel amikoj...

1. When can you make an adjective into a verb?

2. When do you use tro and tre?

3. Does it matter where ĉi is placed? (Like before or after tiu)

Are you using the different seasons of the year as metaphors for incompatible personalities? I suggest that you put the sentence more clearly in English to begin with.

1. In Esperanto there are no verbs and no adjectives. A root can play a role of an adjective when you add -a. So it is with verbs. A root can be a verb if you add a verbial ending. Same roots do have verbial meaning though, some adjectival, and other are related to object You must check with the dictionary. So:

feliĉ|a = happy (normal form)
feliĉ|i = be happy (derived as verb)
feliĉ|o = happiness (derived as substantive)

3. No, you can say:

Tio ĉi
Ĉi tio

Sometimes one form sounds better then the other.

I might translate No. 5 as follows:
Dum preskaŭ jaro ili estis feliĉaj, sed ĉi tiuj sezonoj estis tro malsimilaj, kaj ne povis longe resti amikoj.

No, this has to be estas tro da mono ĉi tie.

Concerning making verbs out of adjectives, you should be aware that some common adjectives, such as korekta, are actually derived verbs - korekta (correct) comes from korekti (to correct), so you can't make korekti out of esti korekta as this would clash with the actual meaning of korekti.

There are, however, only a handful of such roots (FUŜ/, KOREKT/, VEK/, KOMPLIK/ and maybe some I've forgotten).
