Yes, and they let you out of prison, but not for long.

Your post should be in English.

Akvo kura - akvo pura.

Ah sorry, I did not mean to insinuate Poland was particularly bad off, but was wondering if there is any issues about homelessness, which now seem to be bigger issues in America and Australia (or, we just talk about it more).

It's amazing though how Poland, judging from what I've heard recently, is still in economic strife compared to other western countries but can manage to do so much with so little - I guess that's one positive thing after going through a crisis, a people can mobilise and try to fix things up very quickly. Perhaps politicians here could learn a few things - sometimes I worry our politicians are too arrogant and don't realise that the only reason they do so well so often, is because the country is experiencing good times - if there was a major, crippling crisis, I don't think they'd be of much help.

Please, do not learn from Polish politicians, because:

1. You will not learn anything useful.
2. If you happen to learn anything from them (which is unlikely though), it would be just useless.
3. We hate our politicaians as much as you do yours! They promise mountins of gold at the beginning, and at the end those mountins turn out to be their property, not ours!

Damn, and I thought there was hope in the world! OK, it's official, most politicians around the entire world suck rido.gif.

Try to answer one question:

why does one become a politician?

I don't want to be a politician - I couldn't trick people or lie to them, no... it is not for me at all. I think that the profit might be involved. As they say here:

"Rząd sam się wyżywi"
Government will feed themselves.

Thanks Miland, a nice antidote to the cynics! Churchill also knew that scissors beats paper.

Tyrants are far better at moving mountains, but they seldom ask the mountain for its opinion. Tiranoj ja movas montojn pli efike, sed malofte demandas la monton por ĝia opinio.

Tyrants are politicians too rido.gif

Please don't look at me as a cynic though, I'm only joshing around, and not saying democracy is bad okulumo.gif Of course some politicians are bad, some are good, but sometimes there's time needed to vent as the general populace can feel alienated at times.

And nice Esperanto translation of that thing about tyrants - a quote or homemade statement?

Anyway, it's clear things aren't as cool as the possibly could be okulumo.gif
