Could that above be rewritten as

The sentence would have your intended meaning if you said "La muregoj falis, tiel ke la malbona armeo facile invadis.
tial ke = "for the reason that" (similar meaning to "ĉar")
tiel ke = so that, with the effect that
feliĉa = happy
facila = easy
milito = war
armeo = army

That would be "therefore the bad army". You can think to yourself what the effect would be in English if you said "the wall fell therefore they invaded" versus "the wall fell with the effect that they invaded".
There is a slight difference in nuance.

So in that case "tial ke" is completely useless in lieu of "ĉar"...

ceigered: "tial ke" is completely useless in lieu of "ĉar"...Actually, as PMEG puts it, Tial ke = pro tio ke = ĉar. It is tial alone that means "therefore", so in my view you could say La muregoj falis; tial la malamika armeo povis invadi.

In my view, you need "hostile" (malamika) instead of "bad" (malbona), "army" (armeo) inatead of "war" [possibly you translated "military" by i]milito[/i]?], "easily" (facile) instead of "happily" (feliĉe), and perhaps either "and" (kaj) before "therefore" (tial), or a semicolon instead of the comma.
But don't get discouraged; just take it a bit easier the next time, and check before posting.
