Question about Correspondence Service

I have a Usona Esperantisto bulletin from February 2009, and there is a Correspondence request that I was wondering if it is still valid... I don't know if you guys would know, or not, but I thought it might be worth a try asking. I can't understand the ad completely, but I think I got the gist of it.

This is what is says:

Japana Esperanto-Korespondo-Servo

Por tiuj, kiuj volas havi leter-amikojn en Japanujo. Sendu leteron aux postkarton kun viaj nomo, adreso, agxo, sekso, okupo, interesoj, ktp. Nia servo nepre sendos konfirman karton al vi.

I was thinking of sending a letter to the address listed in the ad. However, I don't know if two years is too much time gone by.

Give it a try, my experience with the Japanese asociaro is that they are very well organised and helpful. And if that ad is out of date, it will have only cost you a stamp!

Well, I think it's worth trying. It's a very nice thing if they reply; and you'll lose nothing if they don't reply. A win-win situation, in my opinion. okulumo.gif

Thank you! I will try it, and hopefully it is still in service. I'd like to have a pen pal from another country. ridulo.gif

If you want, I can send you my address (via personal message). I've been thinking about collecting postcards from several countries... And having an Esperanto pen pal sounds interesting too.

Indeed. I only had one Esperanto pen pal, but it turned out to become one of the most enriching experiences in my life. rideto.gif
