Geo didn't get banned; he must have deleted his own account. Some of his statements were slightly over the line in terms of the site's terms of service, but you have to be far over the line, and ignore repeated warnings, to get your account deleted.

I was surprised myself to see that his account was gone, but he has threatened to stop participating on a number of occasions, so in context this really isn't a very big surprise. I guess he finally got fed up with us and decided to delete his account (though from my view, it isn't necessary to delete your account, you can simply stop coming back if you don't want to participate!)

Thanks Erinja & Tarnagook, it's a pity he's left but if he's feeling frustrated here I don't blame him.

Maybe I'll run into him again if I ever get out of my little safety-box in the pseudo-Esperantujo that is this forum here

I only hope it is only lernu.net that Geo has left. You don't know probably, but he has made a massive computer Polish-Esperanto dictionary of more than 97,000 words. I (and many Polish esperantists) use it myself - a wonderful program, very unique.
