to char - ĉu eble "cindrigi"?
to metamorphose - transformiĝi aŭ sintransformi
to slash - haki (mi kredas)

I'm sure all of these would be in the CEED. I'll check when I get home from work.

CEED is the Comprehensive English-Esperanto Dictionary, a print dictionary available from ELNA.

Laŭ CEED...

char (i.e. charcoal, half-burn) - braĝo
dinosaur - dinosaŭro
salamander (both real and mythical) - salamandro
turtle - testudo (land turtle), ĥelonio (sea turtle)
slash - strektranĉi (I like haki better)

None of the definitions of 'blast' given in CEED seem suitable except possibly pafaro (a volley or blast, e.g. of gunfire). I would suggest pafego, energipafo, laseropafo, ktp. Or just plain old pafo ("shot").

Hmm - I wonder if anyone has ever tried to translate the entire game. I've heard about Esperanto translations of Zelda and Final Fantasy ROMs, but haven't found any functional ones. Anyone know about these?
