One way I have found of practising E-o is to listen to people speaking English as a second language (sitting with them at lunch time) and mentally translate what they say into E-o. Today someone said about a certain country, that 'It doesn't have much natural resources.' Hm, 'Gxi ne havas multe da ..?' How to translate 'natural resources' or 'natural reserves'? I haven't got Benson to hand.

Dankon, I had always seen 'rimedo' in the context of the solution to some problem. But from what you say, it seems that 'rimedo' has a wider, richer meaning. Having dipped into Benson, I wonder whether 'naturaj provizoj' might also be an acceptable translation?

Yes that's right. The word rimedo has always been difficult for me to associate with its full meaning. Among other things I've seen it used to translate "device" even for computers. The komputada leksikono now suggests "disponaĵo", though.

"naturaj provizoj" sounds also good to me.
