During the opening seconds of "The Universal Language" by Sam Green, a record player is shown spinning, playing an Esperanto version of "This Land Is Your Land".

Does anybody know the name of the artist who recorded it? It's not listed in the credits.

For what it's worth, Wikipedia has this to say about that:

Belgian singing duo "Hanny and Adri" made a version in 1969 in Esperanto, titled "Jen Nia Mondo," literally "Behold Our World."

Thanks! Unfortunately, I can't seem to find it anywhere on the web (iTunes, YouTube, Amazon, etc). If anybody knows where to find it, I'd love to get a copy.

The song is played at the start of the CD's for the "Jen Nia Mondo" course. I don't know if you'd want to purchase the entire course just for the sake of that song (it must be available somewhere else as well), but the course CD's are available through Esperanto USA.

Thanks Mustelvulpo! Does the course CD play the entire song, uninterrupted start to finish?

I can't speak for the CD, but the cassette version did between the introduction and the first lesson. The entire song.

You can find the complete song (of which parts were sung in the course Jen Nia Mondo) on Ipernity.

The original in English was by Woody Guthrie. The lyrics can be found in a wiki article.

Unfortunately, I figured out that the song is not played in its entirety on the CD.
