Stephen Colbert made fun of the UN and Esperanto again last night. That's generally a compliment.

He tried to say 'my cold, dead hands' in Esperanto, but didn't do a very good job. Sounds like Google Translate. I'm not sure if I'm delighted or indignant.
Is this a case of 'any publicity is good publicity'?

I don't know about this show The Colbert Report. So I don't know how he made fun of Esperanto in the past.
Though for the situation that Esperanto is in right now, I think that video could be good publicity. It atleast mentioned the language, and so the curious could search on what kind of language it is.

Incidentally, the extent to which the possibility of using Google Translate has penetrated the public consciousness is surprising. I've come across several totally unexpected instances of that.

I suppose any mention of Esperanto is good. But Please Stephen Learn the pronunciation!

On a lighter note, his mocking of Esperanto has some kind of a good effect, giving a hint of the existence of Esperanto to its considerably large number of audiences (or, those who are as well 'un-fanned' of UN). One of them maybe started showing interest, we don't know.
