How do I translate this into Esperanto? I feel like translating it directly wouldn't work, as other languages don't say this exact phrase. If I can't get a good translation of this, what's something I could use that would convey a similar thought?

Perhaps something along the lines of "making a face" would be better. I'm not sure.

rulumi la okulojn?

Then I saw her. This tall blond lady. She rolled her deep blue eyes towards me. I picked them up and rolled them back.

en la franca/esperanta vortaro "rouler les yeux"= ruladi la okulojn.
