I searched around on google for a while, but I wasn't able to find any good resources for English-Esperanto parallel texts. As far as format goes, anything will do, but PDF is preferable. Also, the difficulty of the text doesn't really matter.

Thanks

Here you can read an Esperanto Bible translation alongside an English Bible of your choice (or a Bible version in any other language). The Gutenberg Project has books in Esperanto, many of which also have versions in English which you can find.

Thank you for the reply. My only concern was that it might prove difficult to track down the original English (or whatever language) text that the translator used as the source... but I guess that's a hazard with any language, not just Esperanto.

Be careful of The Battle of Life. Zamenhof translated it from a German translation, not from Dicken's English.

Wikitrans has most of the English Wikipedia machine translated into Esperanto.

By the way I wonder if any of the more fluent Esperantists here would care to express an opinion on the quality of the translations at Wikitrans? Here for example is a link to the Ray Bradbury article.

I would recommend Star in a Night Sky by Paul Gubbins, who is a member of the Academy of Esperanto. However it is not free:
