Most sentences having this format ("I want X to Y") take the form of "Mi volas ke X Y-u". Your sentence is similar in ideas.

I would give your sentence as "Mi rekomendas ke vi spektu gxin". Most fluent Esperanto speakers would not try to do this one with two accusatives.

My first thought was the same; that the original poster intended to say, "I recommend that you watch it". And the confusion was caused by the fact that we sometimes drop the 'that' in English.

However, his use of the infinitive for 'to watch' makes me wonder if he meant something more along the lines of, "I recommend you [be the one] to watch it".

Every language has certain ideas that it is very economical in expressing, where other languages take a lot more words. This is one of those situations where English is pretty succinct. I want her to pay, I need you to sit. Most other European languages are going to do it as "I want that she should pay", "I need that you should sit", etc. "Easy to learn", "hard to do"; used as adjectives ("Esperanto is easy-to-learn!" ), these require more words and more complicated grammar in a lot of languages.
