How would you express a decade like this:

"In the 90s, Nirvana was a very popular band"
"She was very active in her 30s"

My first idea was to just turn the number into an e-vorto (like naŭdeke, trideke) but I don't think that would convey the whole decade but I also felt like "en la trideka jardeko" was a little unwieldy. Maybe I should just say it quickly lango.gif

Is there an easier way to go about this?

"En la naudekaj jaroj, Nirvana estis..."

"Shi tre aktivis dum siaj tridekaj jaroj..."

zugunruhe:"en la trideka jardeko"
Trideka jardeko = Thirtieth decade = third century...

I doubt I've ever used it, but my impulse is to go with la naŭdekoj for the nineties, and so on. I would expect the context would convey that we are talking about years rather than a palette of marigolds.

Dum la naŭdekoj, Nirvana estis tre populara muzikgrupo.
Ŝi tre aktivis dum siaj tridekoj.

This may, of course, be my native English peeking through.
