I think this one is a whopper: what would be correct EO for Islamic State

I don't know what happened but it seems that france was just attacked, President Obama came out on CNN (probably 8.30am his time) calling the attacks outragous cnn

With that said I am actually going to read the Koran in one year and provide my own little unique view on it, I searched for a "Koran in one year program" but i need to do some more looking.

This one seems pretty straight forward: islama ŝtato.

Since there is no EN->EO translation in the lernu.net dictionary, I used Google Translate to go from the English word "Levant" to the Arabic, then from Arabic to Esperanto. The result is: Levantenio. It seems reasonable, but I'm not an expert.

For differentiation maybe it's best to use the prefix you often hear on the British news: 'so called' Islamic State.

more or less: eddeŭletu lislemijetu filajreki weŝŝem

The problem is the شام part, as this is the name of a historic region, generally referred to as Levant, Grandsyria or just Syria.
The initial letters (after the article ال) form the abrreviation "daesh".

So maybe one of these options might make sens:
La ŝtato islama en Irako kaj Sirio (ŜIIS)
La ŝtato islama en Irako kaj Ŝemo (ŜIIŜ) (It is a proper name, so why not esperantize it).
