In your opinion, is this sentence correct? Would you consider it good Esperanto?

Iam tiu ĉi objekto estis kesto, kiu lumis kaj varmigis la ejon, en kiu oni starigis ĝin sur speciala tableto.

At some time this object was a chest, which shown and warmed the space in which one raised it on a special little table.

That's what I'm getting when I read it. Is that close to what you wanted to say? I'm hardly one to say what is and what isn't good Esperanto but that that's what I understood from your sentence. It makes me think of a small furnace or perhaps a space heater.

Which 'lit' surely?

I believe lumi (=to shine) is intransitive, so I would use lumigis.

In your opinion, does the author have good grammar? I have been trying to read his blogs everyday.

I only had the briefest look, but I wouldn't recommend him as a model. You may like to read Faulhaber's Ne tiel, sed tiel ĉi as a guidebook to good style. It may well be available as a pdf version or in print.

Is there some kind of daily blog that I could follow?

But there is no need to see lumis as the verb of ejon here. It's just "which was shining [not litting], and heating the place".

Alkanadi, you can really stay with Esperanta Retradio, especially the articles written by Anton Oberdorfer ("Peranto" ) are in impeccable Esperanto, I also like his clear pronounciation.

Thanks, I will add it back to my startup tabs.

Granted the ambiguity about lumi, on my quick look, I read: Troa drinkemo estas malsano, ne simpla morala difekto. I would use simple here.
