Hi

Can somebody help me ?

I'm trying to translate this sentence "I'm allergic to peanuts" in lots of languages ( as many as possible !)

I already have a lot! but I don't have Esperanto ! which is supposed to be universal ridego.gif

So could anyone help me ???

Thanks a lot !

hmm maybe someone else knows better, but maybe you can say

Mi suferas arakidan alergion.
I suffer (from) a peanut allergy.

My 'Wells' dictionary suggests "Arakidoj ne konvenas al mi".

Arakido

Else, i would use the latin name Arachis hypogaea, which is universal and invariable, and esperantize it.

I would not say "Arakidoj ne konvenas al mi", since to me, that implies perhaps that I just don't like them, rather than having a potentially deadly allergy.

I would say "Mi havas alergion al arakidoj" or "Mi estas alergia je arakidoj" or "Mi havas alergion pri arakidoj"

Is “pro arakidoj” correct too?

And what is the difference between arakido and ternukso?

Mutusen:Is “pro arakidoj” correct too?
If peanuts actively caused an allergy, then yes. If your allergy has been there all along, then no.

How about "Arakidoj alergigas min"?
