Does an adverb (like ankaŭ or ambaŭ) ALWAYS have to be placed before a verb?
So "I am also an Esperantist" would have to be "Mi ankaŭ estas Esperantisto" and not "Mi estas ankaŭ Esperantisto".
The only clear statement of whether either order is allowed that I can find is from here : http://literaturo.org/HARLOW-Don/Esperanto/rules.h..., but that is not actually part of the 16 rules so I don't completely trust it.

Thanks for the link. If I understand correctly that means that ankaŭ does not have to be before the verb.
"Normale ankaŭ staras ĝuste antaŭ tio, al kio ĝi rilatas:"
- So normally, but not always.
"La principo, ke ankaŭ staru rekte antaŭ tio, al kio ĝi rilatas, estas bona ĝenerala stila rekomendo, sed ĝi ne estas absoluta regulo."
- And not an absolute rule.
More like a convention, than a rule.
