Saluton: I´m a begginer, can someone help correcting the following sentences? if you want to rephrase them to make them sound natural, be my guess. Thanks in advance.

1-A Certified public accountant (CPA) is a person who uses accounting to make financial statements as well as certifying their legal status.

Atestita publika librotenisto estas persono, kiu uzas librotenadon por fari financajn deklarojn krom atestigas illian laŭleĝecon.

2-A school is the place where people study since childhood.
Lernejo estas la loko, kie homoj studas ekde infanaĝo.

3-A book is a thing made of paper that you read.
Libro estas objekto farita el papero, kiun homoj legas.

ad 1:
forigu "krom", legu "kaj" aŭ "kaj ankaŭ"
forigu "atestigas", legu "atestas"

ad 3:
forigu "homoj", legu "oni".

Translating professional qualifications into Esperanto can be a tricky area on account of different specifications /requirements in different countries. Here in the UK we refer to Chartered accountants.

Also, here in the UK there appears to be a distinction between a book-keeper (librotenisto) and an accountant (kontisto?)

Looking at the Wikipedia explanation of a CPA. I wonder if licencita wouldn't be better than atestita for certified. Perhaps diplomita might also be possible, though it looks as if there's more to it than a diploma, and it's the recognised right to practise (the licence) that is essential.

I suppose it doesn't matter about professional translation, since other sentences look more as grammatical examples for learning purposes, as they assume that people don't change schools nor read newspapers or posters.

If the exact qualification is important, an esperanto translator would use the original one, with an explanation between paretheses or in a footnote.

Of course, you are right, Altebrilas
