in the german forum we are translating german comics to esperanto. We are missing an esperanto expression for 'pool'. How would you translate this word to esperanto?
I try to translate the comic for you:
- now I have to weeks for vacancy.
- perhaps I manage to reach the pool.

Rogir:If you mean a swimming pool as in a place where you can swim, it's naĝejo. If you specifically mean the pool, the physical bassin, then it's naĝbaseno.I mean the place, where you jump into, when you feel superheated. With some more or less clothed girls around and nice chaires to drink some cold drinks with these little umbrellas. Maybe this pool is to small to swimm, but a good place to have fun and some refreshments.
OK, naĝbaseno seems to be the right word, even it is not big enough to swim.
Thank you all ...
Here is another place for comics: http://komiksoj.ko.funpic.de/pagxoj/

It's not used very often in the internet but perhaps is a better option for your meaning.
