I studied Hitler awhile back and read Mein Kampf and he despised Esperanto and talked about it in Mein Kampf, also in a speech he talked about his dislike for the language and banned it...This made me curious, why not learn a language that Hitler despised?

I googled Esperanto and it brought me to this site ridulo.gif

I don't know why but I didn't mean to post the same thread 3 times and for some reason this site doesn't allow me to delete the other two threads...malgajo.gif

Sorry everyone!

Another good reason to learn Esperanto. Good luck with studying!

Quirkiest topic for a thread I've seen in the two or so years I've been on this site lango.gif

Nice story. Hitler and Stalin were against it, as I'm sure any other good dictator would be. Keep using the language!

In Rumania, even if some Esperanto-groups existed, the situation of Esperanto war unclear, till the dictator Nicolae Ceauşescu was 1989 executed.

hoketo: Thank you for this literally translated (German->English) sentence. I'm just translating it to something more comprehensible.

In Romania, although there were some Esperanto groups, Esperanto's situation was unclear until the dictator Nicolae Ceauşescu was executed in 1989.

I chuckle to myself that one of the reasons I started learning Esperanto is to make Hitler's ghost hate me as much as possible if I ever meet him. So far I have: Gay, Esperantist, Atheist, Jewish Ancestors, Socialist, and I'm always looking for more ways.
