Dealing with participles, crazy verb tenses and all that good stuff, I was wondering how might the short sentence, "I have given up the fight for Ido," would be translated into Esperanto (yeah, just wanted to poke a little fun at Idoistoj 
).
My best guess is this:
Mi cedintas de la batali de Ido.
I know that I could say "I gave up the fight for Esperanto," but I'm just trying to be difficult

(in which case darkweasel's translation is what you want Greyshades, if I've misunderstood entirely, then my bad
*la batali is correct in Ido (where -i is plural), but not in Esperanto.

mi rezignis pri la batalo por IdoOh sorry lol I typed in fight in the vortaro and wasn't even really thinking about it.

I suppose that would be the correct way of what I was thinking.
