translation "nova kanto" (Tone) song into English

is there somebody interested to translate the "nova kanto" into english? Afterwards a english subtiteled karaoke song will be created.

Rogir:Do you mean to translate the song or just subtitle it? Because I see no use in translating the song itself.I don't understand. The esperanto original is still "subtitled" means you can see the esperanto lyrics during the song is playing. To subtitle it similar like this one it has to be translated before.
The "nova kanto" is quite popular at youth meetings. At the last JES/Zakopane meeting the nova kanto was "celebrated" three times. Much more enthusiastic like seen at this video. They jumped around during the song. Okej, me too.
So in my opinion due to the popularity of the english language and the involved translation/ time stamp setting work it could be a good ideo to translate and subtitle it to english first. So it could be used as nice esperanto varbado at non-esperanto youth meetings.

erinja:Not to be rude or anything, but I don't really see how this song (? chant? rap?) could possibly encourage anyone to learn Esperanto. It really seems to be nothing special to me.No worries, erinja. Somebody has to experiences that song at a meeting. I assume the simple chorus (Esperanto, estas .... mia kaj ...) will not meet everybodies music taste at the first hearing. Even me I'm not completly sure what music style it is. Let it call brazilan styled hip hop or something like that. It is promoted by Antonio from São Paulo the last years at south-american and european esperanto meetings. And you can hear it now quite often at european youth esperanto meetings.

I recommend NOT translating the lyrics to this song.
The lyrics come off sounding as if Esperanto is some kind of crazy religious group. A missionary task? Go like apostles and preach it to the peoples? Servants of the truth?
Here is my version of a similar sort of song for English:
"Yeah, English! English! You use it to talk to lots of people all over the world! It has metaphors like other languages! Poetry in English! Songs in English! Speak English all over the world! Fly a plane in English - it's the international language of aviation, dudes! Doctors speak English! Lawyers speak English! Rubbish collectors speak English! That's fun if some persons you never have seen before smiling point with the finger on you. That's the first step to make friends using esperanto
(The refrain is repeated three times.) I also like the speed from the high-speed parolado starting at 2:52min and then at 3:55min it goes back to normal speed and "finger pointing" again. For me that's fun. But you have to experience that one time in reality. And for people using the instrumental karaokeo version of nova kanto it is even more fun seeing people jumping around you.

I still have heard the slogan in Germany that English is no foreign language anymore. (Okej let the people from Berlin talk. Everybody outside knows that Berlin isn't the middle of the world.

Many English speakers say that it isn't necessary to learn another language because "everybody speaks English".
Everybody doesn't speak English. But everybody also doesn't speak Esperanto. So it is not really true to say that you can go anywhere in the world and speak Esperanto. English speakers know that it is easier to find English speakers in other countries, than to find Esperanto speakers. An English speaker will look at Nova Kanto and say, "English does all of these things and more, s why should I learn Esperanto?"
I will definitely say that traveling with Esperanto is a much different experience than traveling with English. There are strong reasons to learn Esperanto, even for speakers of English. But Nova Kanto doesn't mention any of them.
