Usually the group members know one another but sometimes someone arranges to get there early and hold an Esperanto flag or another identifiable symbol so everyone can find the group easily.

Or a photo of the organiser - generally I'm guessing you try to pick a well known location first, and make sure attendants know who you are in some manner, yes?

I would find it boring to trek round a museum or art gallery on my own.

But if some one who knew his onions were to organise a trip round such an institution, with a commentary in Esperanto on the exhibits I would certainly be prepared to make an effort to attend.

I have a vague recollection that some Esperantist with 'faka scio' did just that in London a little while back. Perhaps someone else here recalls that.
