I am trying to translate:

But this sentence, I dont really have a good idea about what it means:

Just as, bhikkhus, a skilful turner or a turner's apprentice pulling a long pull (on the string turning the lathe), knows, "I am pulling a long pull";

How would you translate this to esperanto?

Here's an attempt:

Same kiel, ho bikŝuoj, lerta tornisto aŭ sia lernanto, faranta longan tiron (al la ŝnureto, kiu turnas la tornilon) diras al si, "Mi faras longan tiron".
