erinja:The Civito makes us look like a cult, rather than a group of people who happen to speak a certain language. How does it make us look like a cult? Unless you can speak Esperanto you'd never find out anything about the Civito. And if you do then you have the resources to look into the subject yourself. And For an Esperantist using the word "cult" is moronic at best, seeing as everyone who hears about the origins of my language think its a cult anyways, actually half the people I know think Esperanto is a cult because we have no historical connection to any country... Then when I tell them why it was invented people either think A) Its a joke B) Its a cult or C) If really lucky, that sounds interesting. I'm actually a little shocked to see the word cult thrown around an Esperanto forum, I can understand peoples disagreements but cult?

It clearly *isn't* a cult, but I don't expect it to outlive its founder, since it is mainly organized around a single person. And considering that Esperantists look to some outsiders like some kind of strange religion, talking about the "internal idea" and all kinds of world peace and harmony, the last thing we need is some Esperanto group calling us a nation without a homeland, and inviting people to join the pact (and pay money to leave!)

pikolas:Raŭmismo sounds a lot like nationalism or even Zionism in a way, which is a very dangerous game to be played.Raumism could perhaps go to that extent, in the same way socialism could range from cooperating, friendly communities, to state-schooling like in America, to full-blown communist dictatorships. It's a vague term.

"... la filmeto ankaŭ esprimas penson, ke iu-ajn ideon, kiun vi sekvas, vi devas ne agrese propogandi al aliaj homoj sed plezuriĝas ĝin por si mem ..."
"... That short movie also shows that kind of think/belief, that every idea, which someones follows, it must not aggressive propagated to other folks. But (instead of) that idea has to pleasure by itselves ..."
To pleasure something it needs multiple of different wrappings (literature, movies, music, theatre etc.) of the object (=Esperanto language) desired to be object of pleasure. Thats how I understand the intention of Raŭmisma komunumo. Its a space free or at least minimized of language politics i.e. Lingvo Internacia efforts.
