marĉandi = to haggle, to negotiate terms.
The Lernu dictionary gives: 'to haggle, to bargain', which seems reasonable enough.
The Lernu dictionary also contains 'marĉandado'. So, when looking for words, it's good to check out the different versions of a word - don't just type in 'marĉando' and then give up! The root is clearly 'marĉand/'. Try typing 'marĉand' in the Lernu dictionary to see what you get.

Miland:It's not too different from the words "merchant" and "merchandise", so that may help you remember its meaning; merchants make deals, ili marĉandas!Hey good point, thats awesome
