What makes more sense in esperanto:
"Lasu gxin sur supro."
aux
"Lasu gxin sure."
Dankon.

novatago (Vise profilen) 9. sep. 2007 20.13.34
"Lasu gxin sur supro."
Sed mi skribus:
"Lasu gxin supre."

if you're talking about an acutal object, then say it like novatago proposed:
"lasu ĝin supre" = Keep it on the top
Lasu ĝin sure = Keep it on it/thereon
Lasu ĝin sur supro = Keep it on a top
ĝis

jond:I want to translate the following sentence "Keep it on top."We really need to know the context of the sentence. What object is it that we are being asked about? The sentence sounds like an instruction, so presumably we are not talking about personal possessions. That suggests a work situation in which objects can be ordered in a pile, but we are told to give one special priority. One possible situation among many might be the pile of papers or files in an 'In Tray'.
In that sense 'keep on top' means 'maintain in the uppermost position', so I would translate this as 'Retenu ĝin supre'.
Could I ask anyone asking for suggested translations to please provide readers with the context or situation in which the words are being used; without it, translation is much harder, if possible at all.
