In English we say,
"My dog is better."
"My dog is the best."
In Esperanto we say,
"Mia hundo estas pli bona."
"Mia hundo estas plej bona."
So I was thinking that one may be able to take that "ej" and stick it at the end of an adjective and use it like this:
Mia hundo estas bonej.
Mia hundo estas la bonej.
I know the "ej" is a suffix mean "a place described by the root", but I think it would be sufficiently different sounding and looking to not be a problem. What do you all think?

sengir_assassin:Vere, la frazo estus: "Mia hundo estas la plej bona."
In Esperanto we say,
"Mia hundo estas pli bona."
"Mia hundo estas plej bona."

mnlg:I would only accept it if English accepted "more good" as a legitimate alternative for "better".I prefer "gooder".

@ sengir assasin: well, there are 2 possibilities to incline (?) adjectivs... modifier verb or syllable. they are equal. And dear Mister Zamenhof chose the first one.. he must have figured that there are already a lot of modifier syllables and that -ej would cause disorientation because it's a mix between adverb and plural, but the subject is an adjectiv
