Saluton,

In an effort to improve my vocabulary, I want to make some sentences with the word-of-the-day, which today was toleri. If any of these sentences is wrong, would you please let me know?

La pluvo ests tolereble. (the rain was tolerable)

Mia edzino ne toleras la lakton. (my wife doesn't tolerate milk)

In parenthesis I wrote in English what I've tried to say in Esperanto.
Dankon.

In the first sentence, it should be tolerebla.
And I think the latter is correct. okulumo.gif

Pupeno:Mia edzino ne toleras la lakton.
Why include the la before lakton?

sandman85:
Pupeno:Mia edzino ne toleras la lakton.
Why include the la before lakton?
Probably because I was actually thinking in Spanish. Thank you.

Mia edzino ne toleras lakton.

Thank you. Are these two correct then:

La tolerabla pluvo estas varma. (the tolerable rain is warm)

Pluvas tolereble. (it rains tolerably)
