robbkvasnak:I propose: Necesseĝo. After all - we still have a funny bone in EsperantioThis, I think, is fantastic. I will start using it today.

So why is there any problem about this?

jchthys:Does anyone have access to Wells' dictionary at this point?I have the older version, but here's its entry.

Gosudar:CEED gives: "toilet, (flushable fixture for excretion), klozeto; ~a; (any toilet facility, including nonflushabe), fekseĝo; (room), necesejo."No problem just a lack of access to the right resources. Klozeto is the word I was looking for, the word for the actual device, though I still like necesseĝo for the amusement factor.
So why is there any problem about this?
The Lernu! dicitonary could be clearer on this as the klozeto definition includes bathroom, but I guess that comes with the English toilet/toilet usage. Perhaps a note to separate the device from the place.

If you want to be humorous you could say mi estis sur la trono kiam la telefono eksonoris.

sudanglo:NPIV's definition of klozeto is: necesejo, ordinare kun pelvo k akvoŝpruco - so this is still a place rather than the apparatus upon which one sits.So what does one do in Esperantujo with source conflict?
klozeto - CEED: thing; PIV: place
There is also the disagreement with tualeto which Wells has as place and/or thing (not sure from RiotNrrd's post), and PIV has as 'Tuto de la objektoj, kiuj servas al virino por sin vesti k aperi en societo:' which I would call toiletries.
