NJ Esperantist:In many places on the internet there is a button which allows one to 'like' something. It can be anything from a blog, a video, or a product. How would you invite someone to 'like' you in Esperanto? In other words, how would you say "'Like' this video."Would sxati work?

Oijos:Ŝati is used in Facebook Esperanto translation and appears also in other sites as well, if you use Facebook in Esperanto.I was actually thinking of YouTube specifically. The 'Like' button doesn't appear differently if you're speaking Esperanto. I suppose one could make the thumbs up sign while saying 'Ŝatu mian filmon.'

When I'm using Firefox in Esperanto, it will occasionally give a choice (like accept or decline) and they'll be in the infinitive form. Is this correct?

Fenris_kcf:The imperative form sounds a bit odd to me. We're not being told to like something, we just have the option to click the button to express that we like something. I would use 'Ŝati'. It would be interesting to see how 'Like' is translated into other languages. Doesn't German use "Gefaellt mir" (= Plaĉas al mi)?
