"Kie iras la viro" Question

In the bildoj course, the answer is "La viro iras en domo" which I believe is translated literally as "the man goes in the house" which doesn't make any sense to me because the picture shows the man already inside house. And also, why use "iras" and not "estas" if the question is asking "where is the man"? to which the answer is "the man is in the house" which corresponds with the picture. If it's "where is the man going" and the answer "the man is going to the house and went in' then why is there no -n ending in kie? Someone, please clarify.

La viro iras en la domo, ekzemple: de la kuirejo al banĉanbro.

La viro iras en la domo : The man is going in the house (li estas en la domo kaj tie moviĝas)

La viro iras en la domon : The man is going into the house (li estas unue ekstere, poste ene)

With verbs that show movement, using the accusative form (-n) shows movement towards or into something.

Alia Ekzemplo:

La muso kuris sub la liton (the mouse ran under the bed)

La muso kuris sub la lito (the mouse was running around underneath the bed)

Direct translations can be a little confusing in situations where the grammar of each language is slightly different.

Edit:

In Bildo 24.1:

D: Kien iras la viro?
R: La viro iras al la domo.

The -n is not needed with a preposition like "al," because "al" already implies movement. -n would be redundant.

Compare 24.3 with 24.4.

Estas iom strange diri ke la viro iras en la domo sen indiki kien li iras, aŭ sen kvalifiko de la la maniero de irado.

La klasika kontrasto estus pli klare kun alia verbo.

Ekz, la viro dancas en la domo - la viro dancis en la domon.
