Foreigner:I am studying prepositions right now. I have been doing fine until I got to "ĝis," which means "until." An example sentence the program gives is "Anna iros ĝis tie." I understand this sentence to say "Anna goes until there." That doesn't sound right. Will someone please help me with this sentence? Many of the prepositions in Esperanto do not correspond exactly with those in English. In the sentence you quoted, 'ĝis' could be tranlated as 'up to'. In other words Anna will go up to there, (that place, no further than there.)
