I picked up a really nice line from The 100 TV series this week...

Se morto havas ne koston, do vivo havas ne valoron :: If death has no cost, then life has no worth.

Let me know if I've translated that badly, or if you have any different translation.

On a side note, the show also has a con-lang that is meant to be the evolution of the English language --- done by the Game of Thrones guy if I'm not mistaken.

Your word order is quite uncommon and I would use the definite article:

Se la morto ne havas koston, la vivo no havas valoron.

The tekstaro coughs up a lot of Zamenhovian quotes with "la vivo".

Or even:
Se la morto estas senkosta, la vivo estas senvalora.

I like what you did with sen in this case.

Reading more about negatives in the wikipedia, I came across...

Mi ne skribis tion (I didn't write that)
Ne mi skribis tion (It wasn't me who wrote that)
Mi skribis ne tion (It wasn't that that I wrote)

So applied here, would be something like...

Se la morton ne havas koston :: If death doesn't have cost...
Se ne la morto havas koston :: If it isn't death that has cost...
Se la morto havas ne koston :: If it isn't cost that death has...
