erinja:Some people say "krocxeti" and some say "hoktriki"Dankon! "Hoktriki" ("hook-knit" ) seems like it would get the idea across, at least to those familiar with the art.

Fenris_kcf:The lernu-vortaro has the translation [de]"häkeln" ~ "kroĉi". Is it incorrect?<br />No, it should be kroĉeti.

BTW: I've just found ou that kroĉet' in fact is one root, I'd always thought that it were kroĉ'et', maybe because German häkeln has just this structure. You never stop learning...

Kirilo81:Unless it was included in the 9-a oficiala aldono, "krocxeti" is unofficial. It's probably better (in lignt of the issue raised in the "Piron's dialects" thread) to say "hoktriki".Fenris_kcf:The lernu-vortaro has the translation [de]"häkeln" ~ "kroĉi". But *if* I got a vote, which I really don't, I'd vote for hoktriki, which to my mind suitably describes crocheting without requiring a separate root.
